Breathworks Health for Course

This eight-week course will enable anybody with a chronic health condition to overcome much of their suffering by learning, breathworks, mindfulness and self-compassion. The founder of my training programme, ‘Breathworks’, is Vidyamala Birch who, after thirty years of managing severe, chronic pain has demonstrated the effectiveness of mindfulness within a number of scientific trials. She has also just been awarded an OBE for her role in developing Mindfulness Based Pain Management (MBPM) - well done Vidyamala, well deserved!

There are options to live well with whatever chronic pain or health condition you have, I personally have learned to live a much more liberated life from my chronic health diagnosis, after beginning my journey to where I am now, twenty-four years ago.

Clinical trials show that mindfulness techniques, habit releasers and meditation practice can be as effective as prescription painkillers and encourage the body’s healing system by reducing certain hormones, balancing others and re-wiring the neurons in our brain. This course is fundamentally led by huge amounts of research that has changed the lives of thousands of people around the globe.

Breathworks for health sessions will often be on Zoom to enable everyone to attend from all over the world, especially those who would find attending a live course a challenge.
